About the company
Peterson Rail Ltd was set up by the Norwegian paper and packaging group Peterson AS, with operations in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland 2007.
The company was founded in 2007 with six full-time employees and all shipments were raw materials for Peterson Linerboard AS. The reason for the start was to secure raw material supplies at predictable prices. On 2 January 2008 the first train rolled for Peterson Rail on track.
2008 was the first full fiscal year and we had a turnover of approximately SEK 30 million.
The company developed and more customers in the forestry industry were added. 2010 we increased our major expansion and we now exept other
thrilling audiences.
In October we will have about 50 full time employees and 2011 sales pass 125 million.
In order that the company would continue to evolve in the right direction the company was sold in January 2011 to Nordic Rail. Now we are a subsidiary of the newly established Nordic Rail AS.
Peterson Rail AB is a Swedish company engaged in rail freight transport in Sweden and Norway.
Our headquarter is in Trollhattan.
